Know the flow

When you started your direct sales business you were excited. It was the next best thing since sliced bread.
Now you've been working your business for twelve months and you've learned the ups and downs of direct sales. You should be looking at your sales statistics and you see a what months are good and what months you have a slight dip in sales.

With this industry as in other sales industries you need to look at the flow of your business. There are great months and then there are months that you have to be very creative. I've also heard that August is a tough month  for some businesses, some say it's January. To me it doesn't matter if it's a challenge you still need to be open for business and to look at your flow. If you are aware then you can manage your expectations.

Imagine we are in a row boat coasting down a river. We are going to go the way the water is flowing. But if you put your oars in the water then you are going to start to steer the boat in the direction you want to go. Sometimes its with the current but other times you need to go against it.  Are you coasting along in your business or are you going in the direction you want to go?

There is someone out there every day having a show, hosting a party, or scheduling their automatic order. You just have to find the right person who NEEDS what you have to offer. Watch your business watch the flow and then go... WORK YOUR BUSINESS.  Watch the flow and be prepared to steer your business in the direction you want it to go. Sometimes you need help in steering. The great thing about direct sales is you don't have to do this alone. Call in the sailing crew, (upline, sponsor, or business coach) to help you direct this boat the way you want to go.
