Cheerful Giver

Are you a sharing person? Are you someone who is offering a hand when someone is in need? In your business are you willing to give even though you are not guaranteed a sale from it? I was reminded this Sunday in church that I need to make sure I am a cheerful giver. If I share and support others, God will continue to bless me. A lot of times we look for that same person to give back to you but the blessing usually comes from a totally different source.

I'm was put to the test when a person who is in your inner circle didn't think of me when one of her friends was looking for a good skin care line. She never thought to say, "Michelle has products I think you should look at."  Should get upset? Should I stop myself from referring other people to good products & services? Nope!

I know that blessing are happening for me each and every day. Maybe I wasn't supposed to have that person as a customer or maybe the time wasn't right. Whatever the reason, I commit to having a giving spirit.

You have be your best promoter and supporter at times. You have to believe that you products are the best and you will get that customer or another customer in replace of the one you missed. I know I have something great to share with others.

Don't be worried. Your blessing is coming. Keep being a giver and keep up blessing others and you will be blessed.

Why ask Why?

It always amazes me that we are in the busiest time of the year for direct sales and we still have 0's on our genealogy. I started to ask myself tonight "why". Why wouldn't take advantage of all the holiday specials you have with your product line? Why wouldn't you share with someone else who is in need of a great product or service? Why wouldn't you buy from yourself before you go out to Macy's or Nordstrom? Why don't you see the great opportunity you are sitting on? Why do you have 0 sales this month in the mist of the holiday season?

The answer is... not for me to answer, it for that person to answer.
The answer is always up to the individual and I can't want something more than they want it. You can't change people so, change people. Stop asking Why and start asking Who else? and  Who's next?

You can't move forward if you keep on looking backwards. You have to look ahead and ask the new people for their "why"! Why are they looking for a new opportunity to earn additional income, or why are they looking for something else to do with their time, or why are they looking for something fun to do, or why are they looking to get out and meet new people?

Those are the "why" questions I should be asking.

Charlie Brown

I always enjoyed watching Charlie Brown cartoon specials. I liked  him but, I wondered why he had such a negative attitude for a little boy. He expected bad things to happen to him. He had this dark cloud around him always expecting the worst. Are you a Charlie Brown? Do you expect that you won't have any sales and no one will want your products? Do you say to yourself, "no one wants to do a party with me?" Are you expecting prospects not to show up at your opportunity events? Are you expecting disappointment?

I always wondered why Charlie Brown would let Lucy hold the football when he would say before hand that she  is going to pull the football away so he would fall.   Why do you speak negative and then are surprised when negative shows up? If you expect rejection then guess what, you'll find rejection.

What would happen if instead of him envying Snoopy, he started to think positive about himself. If you are a Charlie Brown, you are not attracting people to you and your business. You are need to first start to think and speak positive about yourself and your business. Next, you have to start to believe it!!
You've got a great product, a great business, and a great opportunity.

Charlie Brown, NO MORE negative, stinking thinking. Charlie Brown you have a lot to be thankful for and you need to start changing the way you think, TODAY!

Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown.

Victoria’s LaunchTip | Starting a Business and Growing your Company, Ladies Who Launch

Victoria’s LaunchTip | Starting a Business and Growing your Company, Ladies Who Launch

TO DO & Get It Done

Now that we are in the busiest time of the year for direct sellers you need to use your daily "TO-DO" list. It is so critical that you start and/or update your daily list. We have so many things going on personally and professionally that you don't want to miss out on any opportunities.

I recently was at a school event with my childrens' PTA and I asked several of the parents who I know do they have their Santa grab bag gift or teachers gift yet. I shared with them that I can help them with their gifts. I had a list of leads to follow up with. But, not writing it down at that moment was a mistake. That night when I got home I had to try to remember everyone who said yes there were interested in seeing my products.

Don't leave it up to the computer in your head. The best thing to do is write it on your list or put it in your IPhone, Blackberry or Android.

Once you have the tasks on your "TO-DO" list the goal is to now DO THEM! Check off each task completed. Reward yourself at the end of the week when you've completed at least 90% of your list. I say 90% because there will always be tasks that you need to carry over into the next week or two. Don't beat yourself up, celebrate all that you have done.

In business you've got to get it done so start now.
TO-DO or Not TO-DO, That is the question?

Leader's Vision

If you are a leader in your direct sales business then you need to have a vision for your business and  your team. Once you have sponsored someone in the business you are now a leader. You need to lead by example. You need to let your team know that you understand the struggles in this business but you are committed to the team.

When you set your weekly and monthly goals are you also keeping in mind your team goals? Are you sharing with the team what the company goals are? Do you have a vision for where your team is going?

"Without a vision the people will perish"

If you answered no to the above questions, then TODAY you can write down your vision and share it with your team. You need to speak it into existence. You need to claim it! You need to see the success in your team. You need to see that it's possible for your team to earn the trip incentive, to have them walking across the stage at convention. You have to visualize it first and then share your vision.

When you share the vision with the team you will be excited to see who from the team catches the vision. Who starts working towards the same goals with you. It starts with a snowball, rolling down a hill. Before you know it you've creative something bigger than you've imagined.

Get the ball rolling and start with your Leader's Vision.

Shooting or Shining Star

Are you a Shooting Star in your direct sales business? Glitz and Glam...Rocking to the top of the compensation plan. Are you doing things in your business that have never been done before?

Or are you a Shining Star. A shining star shines consistently works their business over the months and the years?  A shining star works to consistently hit her goals. She's not FLASHY but, produces! A shining light in all areas of her business.  No Glitz, no Glam, just solid consistent SHINE.

I remember my mom saying all that Glitters is not Gold. To me a Shooting Star zooms to the front but can she consistently produce?

You don't want to burn out, you just want to keep your SHINE.

Thanks to my business

We all have many reasons why we start our businesses. One of my reasons was I was looking for additional income to pay for my daughter's private school education. It was so important to have her in the formative years to be in a safe environment. A place where she can excel and be proud of who she is.

When I look at my daughter now I realize that the investment in her education was SO worth it!!! Thanks to my business. She has turned into an intelligent, beautiful, and personable young lady. Thanks to my business, it  has helped invest in my legacy, my daughter! Today she turns 12 years old and I am so happy that I'm getting a great return on my investment 100 fold.

No matter why you started your business, you need to take refection time to appreciate what your business has done for you, additional income, time freedom, treasured friends, confidence, or  a source for your creativity. Take time today to appreciate what your business has done.

Thanks to my business. Thanks to YOUR business.

Great Inspiration

I am inspired by so many things in life. I try to appreciate every lesson and every experience. I was so moved tonight watching BET's Black Girls Rock awards show. I was so INSPIRED!! My soon to be twelve year old daughter watched it with us and I pray she was inspired and saw how wonderful she can make her life.

We should get inspiration from all our experiences. We should dream bigger, in color and in 3D.When I was twelve we didn't have these shows to inspire us. We didn't see these beautiful black women on TV to tell me that I ROCKED!!

I started my direct  sales business to make changes in my financial life but it has impacted me in all aspects of my life. I realize that what I'm building now will change my daughters life. It will empower her to be different and to know that she can be her own CEO. She sees her mom dealing with customers, making booking calls, placing orders, and hosting parties. She sees me being a business woman and that it is possible for her not to just be an employee. I am inspired to help more Moms create this new vision in their daughters. Imagine if all our young women start to dream big, colorful, 3D dreams!!!

Thank you for the reminder BET that I ROCK and my daughter ROCKS too!!
